my uncle was very successful and his wife was successful, his children graduated from college,my aunt was successful and my mother was successful, they are all products of the 1930s.through racism, segregation these three children managed to live the American dream on their own.I can't tell their stories because it belongs to them,I can tell you about my part of their story,my uncle,my aunt, and my mother leave the south country side to go to California, these three stuck together through thick and thin,my mother would always talk to me about her big sister as in venting about her big sister selfways and surely I listened as my mother bickering about my favorite aunt in the whole world! with a guilty smile I nod in agreement with my mother. it's seems to me the story of these three was a sworn oath to never part because where ever the big brother move to the two little sisters followed.I looked up to my mother,my uncle and my aunt,I wanted to grow up to be successful like them. I have my story and others have theirs (ghostwriter tears)......I strive and I grind and I crash and burn, to be successful like my mother,my drive on earth is not failure but to succeed and achieve "MY American dream" what was their secret? ,how did they achieve? those answers were never given to me,so I live and learn. some people think the (crabs in a bucket) is just a figure of speech,NO! it's as real as the air you breathe.people only tell you what they want you to know,do you know what K.N.O .W. is short for? the word know is short for knowledgeable.let me share a secret of "know"...my big brother is in the United States military,he's been around the world a few times,he's also a ranking officer so he "know" some things... my first time visiting Mexico with my brother as we approach the Mexico border leaving America he start talking to me in a low voice as in almost whispering,I am a very young man at the time, late teens,I remember my brother saying don't do this and that, don't say this don't say that and stay in his shadow.he also told me even though I am a few hours away from home, I am in another country and the language is different, the laws are different and one more thing to keep in mind.." THIS IS NOT AMERICA"...we go across the border into Mexico back in those days it was like, let's say very nice to be a American..when me and brother returned back to the "STATES" I kissed the ground!..I think all African American military personnel should take their young men that live in the ghetto and hoods to see other countries, because SEEING is believing. I also found out one of "THE TICKET" that people living in the ghetto and hoods should be looking for but I will not tell you the answer because knowledge is power so I will give you a hint...the secret go through your hands every day and if you live in America, well, just skip and hop south towards America's exits. (YOU'LL RETURN WITH YOUR WINNING "TICKET" EVERY TIME! ) 100%
