GENERAL AUDIENCE TO ADULT AUDIENCE

I started my ventriloquist act with family and friends, I think all of us should start with family and friends,such as family holidays and friends parties.being a poor ventriloquist my family and friends accepted sammy,well my friends accepted sammy more than my family did.growing up I had my own bedroom so when my friends came over to visit we would hang out in my bedroom,I never kept sammy in a ventriloquist trunk but sat him on top of the ventriloquist trunk so it was like sammy was hang out with us,surely sammy did not speak,he was just chilling. when I did a show for the family holidays,the relatives awaited for vann duke and sammy,when I did a show at friends parties friends knew sammy,it was nothing creepy or odd about it, matter of fact they knew sammy was going to act a fool.doing general audience shows was easy and simple for me as a ventriloquist. I did some ventriloquist versus dummy skits,you know them and I don't like them.for General audiences sammy was so cute and I was his punching bag for his punchlines.the general audience was paid shows even though my writing skills were not what I wanted it to be,me being a writer first,I write safe material for general audience.leaving the general audience and going into the adult audience world was learning to write my comedy material into a whole new way,it's like going from middle school grade to high school grade,but then I went into the comedy club world and I went from zero to one hundred in ten seconds,it was a  whole new level! it was like leaving community college to a university,the comedy clubs was no joke those guys were hungry! so I had to go back to my studies and learn the comedy club world because that cute stuff SAMMY did for general audience was not happening for vann duke and sammy.so I study and write and write, practice,rehearsal,to become a entertainer for the comedy clubs audience.I tell you this my dream was to be a night club entertainer and I lived my dream but the comedy clubs was a lesson and experience of a lifetime,it took my writing skills on a whole new journey and I will separate the experience from my dream because it's not a dream but a wake-up call,meaning if you going to run with big dogs you better have your shit together,meaning how hungry are you..dog/bitch?yeah do you bite?..yeah eat or be eaten is what the big dogs told me in the comedy club world,it's not a joke..so are you just dreaming or do you want to live your dream,then wake-up!!.....entertaining family and friends,entertaining general audience,becoming a night club entertainer,performing for comedy clubs audience,all taught me how to write for my own production company shows today!...I am more than grateful for the experiences because I am living my full dream today.
