LINES

In drama class I learned a lot about remembering my LINES,in high school the students would sit in a big circle reading a play from a book before rehearsal of the play,we would read the entire book first so that we know the story then the teacher would have us students talk or have a discussion about the plays story.if we know the story then we know the lines because it's like we were there in the story,so in our minds eye we can see the story happening then speaking the plays lines comes to life when acting out the play.it's story telling of the mind,because we are telling the audience what we have seen,this is called "storytelling" bring lines on paper to life.all those lines really became easy to remember and speak because I had a wonderful drama class teacher,other students would walk by to peek in the drama class door and see us reading out loud and those students peeking in would say drama class was boring but when they went to watch the school play that year they were overwhelmed by the performance.

when I was on stage with Sammy I found out early in my showbiz career that it is better to give Sammy the shortest amount of lines to speak and Vann duke will take the longest lines to speak,simply because of breathing and when Sammy speaking he breath in air than when I speak,it takes more out of me when Sammy is talking, so I will do a bunch of lines for sammy to answer with a shorter line, sammy can talk with out speaking a line,such as move his head up and down to give the vision of the answering yes, and also turn jerking his head from left to right a few times to give the vision of answering no, when Sammy answer this way my voice can rest a little bit and I catch my breath.. the ventriloquist dummy should always get the funny lines, punchline and the final line if singing a song..I learned that in one of my songs Sammy would hit a high note at the end with his mouth wide open,holding a glass of wine in my hand the glass would break from Sammy singing high voice note, the audience enjoyed that bit, that's not the point,the point is I am on stage and with amazement at Sammy high note, what I learned was taking a deep breath in from my nose and slowly exhaling from my mouth and turning up volume on Sammy voice give a wonderful unbelievable illusion!..about the wine glass in my hand,the wine glass are in movies, and are made to break,the wine glass is not a magic trick but a stunt trick,they can only be used once, when you see someone get hit over the head with a beer bottle in a movie that's this wine glass, I used these wine glasses as a very young ventriloquist,so I am not sure if the company is around today that make these wine glasses but it was name alfonso's breakaway glass in sun valley California 91352.... I am just thinking if I ever start performing live again on stage maybe I will write a comedy act where I am on stage with Sammy and start using the  alfonso's breakaway glass wine bottle again.. nope! Sammy said vann duke and Sammy are completely retired from live performances on or off stage.
