THE COOPERATE SHOWBIZ LADDER

Being a ventriloquist is also being a business person,because there is no business like show business,there for, ventriloquism is a business.so let's talk about big business deals and making them.I will share a few secrets with you on this blog on how I witness and experience corporate gig dealing.most corporate gigs for entertainers are done by a personal agency or agent or show business management,I say most of the professionals entertainers get the corporate gigs.as a working ventriloquist without a agent or manager,you are labeled as a semi pro,which means a independent contractor or freelance/freelancer,yes in show business you can run your own business with out a agent or manager or even a union.I believe in freedom and in the business world some will say capitalism is not good,well I say the consumer should have more options besides one,and that one being "the professional" as a teenager I competed with the professionals as I was labeled semi pro,it became a belief of my production company to compete with the professionals,I saw that a customer had no other options but professional entertainment for their events,etc.I believe every one should be able to afford live entertainment at their birthday parties,but the professionals have a middle man which cost the "parents of the birthday child much much money"I remember those days as a semi pro ventriloquist,parents told me they would hire a magician or clown for their four year old birthday party, five hundred dollars for an hour,my production company made a deal with those parents and saved them a lot of money,it was jaw dropping when I heard the booking agreement these parents told me for professional live entertainment for a kids party,parents love their children and want them to have a good birthday party so they push out a lot of money,and this became the beliefs of my production company,to provide semi pro entertainment for the consumer.on this blog,I am writing to the semi pro performer that thinks he/she can not get a corporate gig with out an agent or manager,it's not true.the first thing you need to know is,what is a semi pro and what is a pro,well a pro has people working for him/ her and a semi pro is independent,the pro has a middle man.if you have a family member that works for corporate they can be your inside man,I didn't say middle man.your inside man can provide word of mouth to the big wigs for the next company party or event,and if you don't have a inside man,then networking will be good for you.one thing I would like to mention about the middle man is that his phone book is as thick as the holy bible so as you have just learned you are not competing with the professional entertainer,it's his/her middle man that you're competing with.so as a semi pro you need to get out there and get those contact numbers up and up!!

as a entertainer you might think the money you make from performing is your money..I used to think the same way as a young boy..before I was in show business my production company was,I started the royal kingdom presents production company when I was in the fifth grade,it was a manual script company, a company that produced literature of my writings..when I became a working ventriloquist in middle school,the money I made from performing went into funding my production company..I learned that the show business money was not pocket money.

(HOW DID MY SHOW BUSINESS SELF PROMOTING DEPARTMENT BEGIN)
In my production company I have a promotion department,this department has been shut down for many years...my little brother name is won and many many years ago there were dancers called poplockers and breakdancers,my little brother won was a poplocker and a very amazing one too!..won, dancing name won "da magic won" he would always get into street battles with other neighborhood poplockers..won was always serious about creating the ultimate dance move,so I take him under my umbrella of the royal kingdom presents production company, to create the ultimate dance moves, in essence being the production company first partner in the royal kingdom presents promotions department..we had rehearsals and practice,we study and did shows...how many partners did my promotion company have during it's operating time: #1.magic won, #2.the chocolate factory, #3.real booty girls,and #4.toya.
