when I started performing as a ventriloquist it was for family and friends at holidays parties such as Christmas and thanksgiving.well as a young child my mother had very successful brother that was my uncle,I mean big cars and big house.so all the family members will meet at my uncle's house for the holidays and so me and sammy would provide the family live entertainment.I remember sammy and I performing by the big Christmas tree at my uncle's house,I was a kid,a kid in love waiting for the next family party.one day my mother said sammy needs a last name,so I gave the first sammy the name "holiday" because we were doing shows for the holidays.my mother loved a skit I wrote for the holidays where sammy screaming the words "out of control!" she would say "is holiday going to do..OUT OF CONTROL!!" she called the first sammy by his last name "holiday" when mentioning him.

in the beginning I had no partner because ventriloquist figures are very expensive,there was a ventriloquist catalog when I was a child that sold ventriloquist dummies,puppets, lessons,etc.every day I would show my mother this ventriloquist catalog but she would look at me sideways.but one day I was looking through the Sears catalog and saw ventriloquist dolls dummies,I ran to show mother and she did look,at the price! I saw sammy in the Sears catalog and my mother bought him for me! my mother was very happy with the price of the Sears catalog ventriloquist dummies that she bought me lots of them but my first sammy she bought for me I will be forever and ever be grateful for.

"THREE SAMMY"
FIRST SAMMY WAS FROM 1982 to 2009..

SECOND SAMMY from 2007 to 2009' was created by ventriloquist figure marker Kevin d. the first sammy was created by Kevin d. father. The second sammy was created because the first sammy was retiring from the stage and was going to be on display in a storage facility.

SAMMY THE THIRD 2012 to RECENT TIMES sammy number three was created for me by me. after retiring from the stage and live performance. The royal kingdom presents production company which is my production company started on a mobile show and the hood rats but a mold was found to create sammy again and vann duke and sammy was reborn.this due to the fact that sammy1&2 and every thing was lost in storage facility.sammy three is the face of the company and is VANN duke and Sammy!

JUST ADD WATER

I Have a mischievous smile on my face as I write this note to the reader.you may wonder how can being a ventriloquist help you out side showbiz,some of us don't want to be a performer,well just imagine running into your bosses office with your phone in your hand and a voice coming out of the phone saying " help! I falling and I can't get up!" you tell your boss you're leaving work to go save grandma!,now you have a good excuse for leaving work early unless your boss says she's going with you to help grandma,of course the voice that is coming from the phone is you doing the "ventriloquist telephone act" but you can always hang up the phone and do your ventriloquist phone act calling grandma back to say she's o.k...I remember as a teenager doing my ventriloquist telephone act for the first time at the dinner table with my family sitting eating,my lil brother knew about the act but my mother and older brothers really believe the voice was coming out...
